How do I use an external hard drive?

I received aa external hard drive as a gift recently. I do not know how to use it. He came with a small normal CD, but I put on my team and I can not itself implement. I have a 3.5 "HDD Smart Drive Enclosure by Bytecc. It is also aluminum if it means something. If someone could please tell me how to upload files, would be great.

For WindowsVista Windows XP and DOES NOT require all drivers to a disc. Just connect the USB cable and work. CDR Media small for Windows 98 and above to help with recognition of USB.
